Heroes on the Water – (Based in Texas and operation with national chapters) Provides kayak fishing opportunities and all equipment for veterans. Their volunteer-led events come at no charge to participants and their families. Their chapter events are designed to create a welcoming and pressure-free environment and are proven to help reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. Events are open to family members of veterans and first responders at no cost.
