About High Country Veterans Adventures

High Country Veterans Adventures – (Colorado) Improves the overall quality of life of veterans by connecting them with the outdoors through physical and social adventures. They offer backcountry skiing opportunities for free, but participants must manage the cost of travel and accommodation.

HCVA has worked with their guides to develop a trip that is suited for your ability and skill level, so the planning portion has already been taken care of. HCVA relies on you to communicate with their guides before and during the trip, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of your skill and ability level as well as any medical concerns. Your guide will set an appropriate pace, coach you on what to wear so that you remain comfortable, provide instructions of efficient techniques and safe skiing practices for the backcountry.
