Six Feet Above – (California) Provides veterans and service members a cost-free retreat/resource center focused around skateboarding and other positive therapies to help veterans and service members win their battles with mental illness, to include post-traumatic stress (PTS). Their retreats are cost-free, multi-day experience centered around skateboarding and other healthy lifestyle habits.
Each participant will spend three to five days living, eating, skating with and getting to know each other through group discussions and activities designed to heal and better control symptoms of mental health illness. They’ll have the opportunity to skateboard at several very well-known and some exclusive skateboard spots in the Southern California area. Moreover, each retreat will have a special guest to come speak and meet with the participants. Every activity at the retreat is voluntary and no one will be forced to participate in anything they do not wish to do.
