About Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports

Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports – (Colorado) Offers outdoor programs for injured vets and their families. STARS offers daily programs throughout the winter season and weekly programs and camps during the summer in alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, archery, cycling, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking, paddle sports, water skiing, and more. Adaptive equipment is supplied by STARS. Rentals of summer adaptive equipment is also available.

Winter Military Programs

A 5-day/4-night ski adventure with STARS designed for veterans with disabilities! During 3 days of ski lessons at the world renowned Steamboat Ski Resort, personable and professional instructors provide personalized lessons to fit all types of disabilities. This session is designed for intermediate skiers, riders, and bikers but can accept all ability levels with advanced notice.

***For Veterans interested in attending both Veterans Ski and Ride Camps, there is a new registration process in place. If you are interested in attending both Veterans Ski and Ride Camps, you must register online for the most desired camp first. Then you will need to call the STARS office at 970.870.1950, or send an email to info@steamboatstars.com, to be put on the waitlist for the second desired camp. If/when individuals can move off the waitlist for the second desired camp, our admin team will reach out to assist in the registration process.

A $100 deposit is required from all Veterans which will be returned upon completion of the camp and a survey. Participants will be staying at the STARS Ranch for the duration of their trip. Breakfast, snacks and dinner included. Air Fare transportation/travel expenses to and from Steamboat Springs, CO. is not included.

Stars & Stripes Summer Camps

Cost: A $100 deposit is required from all Veterans which will be returned upon completion of the camp and a survey. Breakfast and dinner included. Airfare/transportation to and from Steamboat Springs, CO. is not included.

Veterans Rafting Camp

Join STARS for our mild to wild raft camp this summer! During this 5-day, 4-night itinerary, participants will spend 3 days on the river – starting out with a day trip, followed by an overnight adventure. You can expect a terrific whitewater experience on the Eagle River and great scenery, wilderness camping, and a chance to spot wildlife on the Colorado River.
