The Big Red Barn Retreat – (South Carolina) Utilizes 75 acres of land to provide veterans, active duty and their families activities and programs that assist them in overcoming stressors caused by their duties. Big Red Barn Retreat (BRBR) offers integrated practices and programs that allow Warriors to thrive at home. These integrated practices are alternatives to traditional treatments; and are provided to veterans, active duty service members, and first responders at little to no cost to them.

Yoga & Tai Chi: All yoga and tai chi classes are offered weekly, see calendar for schedule.
Peer to Peer Mentoring: Friday Peer to Peer Group meets face-to-face at 9:30 am at the barn .

Fort Jackson Drill Sergeant Cadre Resiliency Program: Through a multi-year contract with Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC, the Big Red Barn Retreat provides active duty drill sergeants a day to learn tools to manage stress, problem solve, and decompress. During the day, drill sergeants problem solve with horses in Equine Assisted Learning, learn mindfulness practices and reset their nervous system via yoga nidra, and process and express stressors through conversation facilitated by art.
Warrior PATHH: Warrior PATHH is a transformative, lifelong, Posttraumatic Growth-based peer based training program for combat veterans and first responders that relies on a variety of educational and experiential activities for the purpose of teaching life skills, increasing community integration and involvement, and promoting physical, emotional, relational, financial, and spiritual health. The training begins with a 7-day on-site initiation that is followed by further training delivered by our instructors through the myPATHH platform.
