Warrior Sailing – (Florida) Provides maritime education and outreach for wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans. They facilitate opportunities for skill development and build partnerships between the military and marine communities.
Basic Training Camp: The Warrior Sailing Program Basic Training Camp is focused on introducing the skill of sailing to wounded, ill and injured service members. In a fun but intense 3-day camp, participants are taught the basics of sailing and sailboat racing. It’s about teamwork, self-reliance and the fun-factor. The program is open to wounded, ill or injured service members and veterans of all branches of the U.S military. The program is available to all persons within the targeted audience regardless of age, gender and race.
Keelboat Certification Camp: For graduates of the Basic Training camps, these camps offer an opportunity to hone their sailing skills and lay the groundwork for more advanced sailing and racing. The camp curriculum follows the American Sailing Association Basic Keelboat Certification course curriculum and participants able to demonstrate the required skills will be granted certification upon completion of the camp.
