If you find excitement on 2 or more wheels, here are the organizations for you! Their events and programs not only give you the chance to hit the road, but to learn some of the fundamentals to driving, navigation and even building motor vehicles. Strap in, you're going to have a fun and fast time.

Dirt Therapy Project – (Based in Texas, Operates Nationwide Chapters) Hosts mountain biking events, meetups and programs for service members and veterans.

Military Mobility – Specializes in off-road expeditions and resiliency training for veterans. Their mission is to reduce the suicide rate and increase health and wellness by putting veterans back in a team environment which fosters camaraderie, trust, and inspires the realization that any challenge—no matter how great—can be overcome.

Trail Therapy Off Road – (Multiple locations) Partners with industry professionals to help train veterans in trail navigation, recovery techniques, obstacle negotiations, and off-road etiquette. Four wheeling, rock crawling, mud bogging, off-road racing, shooting, and camping are included activities.

Racing For Heroes – (Virginia) Offers motorsport racing for vets, including a three-day course of study at their Headquarters at Virginia International Raceway and the chance for veterans to build and drive their own cars.

AdventureVet – (Utah) Offers Outdoor adventures for wounded and amputee combat veterans such as Motorcycle & Recreational Therapy, Vocational Training and additional life changing, life saving holistic wellness programs.

VeloVets – (Arizona) Hosts cycling events for troops and veterans with unique events scheduled throughout the year.

MTB Vets – (Georgia) Provides mountain biking opportunities to the veteran community.

Warfighter Made(California) Provides off-road recreational therapy opportunities to combat wounded veterans.

Veteran Motocross Foundation – At Veteran Motocross Foundation members support each other’s motocross skills development, whether to leverage the therapeutic benefits of motocross riding or to compete in competitive motocross events. As a body of members, we all serve each other through community development, motocross skills development, and by collaborating with sponsors to improve accessibility to the sport of motocross. Each member is encouraged to become a future coach or champion.

4 Wheel 2 Heal (Utah, Pennsylvania, Virginia) Take wounded and disabled veterans/service members from all branches of the military to off-roading events. These events include: four wheeling, rock crawling, mud bogging, off-road racing, shooting, and camping.

Motorcycle relief Project – (Colorado, Arizona) Offers motorcycle tours for veterans that are 5-day dual-sport motorcycle tours and are specifically designed to provide relief to veterans with PTSD and related issues. Rides include a combination of on-road and moderate off-road riding. Participants get to ride on some of the most scenic two-lane roads in the country as well as some amazing jeep trails and forest roads. Participants must have at least a year of experience riding motorcycles, but no previous off-road experience is required.

Motorcycle Missions – (Operates Nationwide) Offers motorcycle building programs and welding courses for eligible troops and veterans. Participants meet once a week until the completion, and they have the opportunity to ride and show off the bike for at least six months before it is sold or raffled off to raise money for future projects.

Six Feet Above(California) Six Feet Above brings service members and veterans together through skateboarding and offer multi-day retreats designed to give participants a well-rounded experience so they may exercise their mind, body, and soul.

Soldiers on Singletrack – Is a veteran led mountain bike crew and race team. Their mission is to support veterans in managing service related stress by providing a community of like-minded individuals, who are pursuing a common purpose through the mental and physical challenge of high intensity mountain biking. They host regular group rides, provide skills & maintenance clinics, and support our race team through training and sponsorship resources.
