V-Mat – (New Hampshire) Offers free Martial Arts Program for U.S. Military Veterans, Reserves and Active Duty in New Hampshire.
Roever Foundation: Operation Warrior RECONnect (OWR) – (Colorado, Texas) Roever Foundation has developed Operation Warrior RECONnect, a division that offers various programs for military, first responders, their spouses, and families to attend. These programs all contribute to the emotional health of our service members and their entire family.
Project Sanctuary – (Texas, Georgia, Maryland, Colorado, Washington) Hosts therapeutic retreats in five states across the country that are staffed and designed by Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, licensed counselors and social workers. Retreats are open to active-duty service members, veterans, Guard and Reserve families from all branches of the military and all eras. All families, including the LGBTQ+ community are welcome at our retreats.
Gratitude America – (Florida) Gratitude America Military Support Retreats are no cost, 4-day immersive and intensive experiences designed to help combat veterans and their supporters make peace with their past so they can begin planning for their new mission at home.
Wild Ops – (Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, California, Montana) Veterans dedicated to helping fellow combat veterans find support, hope, and healing in the battle of transitioning back into civilian life through faith-based programs. The objective at Wild Ops is to identify isolated veterans and have them participate in an outdoor adventure with other combat veterans. While each trip will be unique, the mission for every excursion is the same – facilitate the healing of scars that are unique among combat veterans. You will hunt, fish, talk, laugh, pray, eat, enjoy nature, and each other’s company.
Operation Second Chance – (Maryland) OSC offers a variety of retreats depending on the individual’s injuries and their ability to get away. They provide short local overnight trips to those who need a quick getaway but do not have the ability to go very far from the care received at the hospital or from their chain of command.
Wear Blue: Run to Remember – (Operating in chapters across the United States) Uses community runs and races as a way to honor the service and sacrifice of military personnel.
Travis Manion Foundation – (Operating in chapters across the United States) Develops programs, training opportunities, and events designed to empower veterans and families of the fallen, and then inspire them to pass on their values to the next generation and the community at large. The Travis Manion Foundation offers various types of opportunities to connect with community members through community service projects, marathons, workouts and more.
PGA Hope – (Operation with national chapters) PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
Military Wild – (Operating chapters across the United States) Helps adventurous military families find connection with one another and hosts local meetups through their chapters to help get service members and veterans outdoors.
Operation Red Wing Foundation – (Texas, North Carolina) Offers service members and veterans from all military branches healing retreats for those who suffer from PTS, TBIs and chronic pain. Military families can qualify for a Couples & Family retreats once the Service Member attends an Individual Retreats.
Crux Wilderness Therapy – (California) Provides veterans and their families with sustainable long term strategies for physical and mental health by engaging in outdoor activities. They focus on rock climbing education and instruction so that veterans can feel prepared to engage in a wilderness environment independently and share in this process with their friends and families.
Recycle For Veterans – (Based in California, Operates with Nationwide Chapters and Events) Brings together service members and veterans for cleanup events at various locations. Their environmentally friendly events allow troops to continue their efforts in bettering the community while being outdoors and networking with other likeminded individuals.
Connected Warrior Foundation – (Florida) Offers yoga based activities for veterans and troops with additional yoga teacher training opportunities.
Veterans Yoga Project – (National Chapters) Offers free online yoga classes as well as yoga teacher training and volunteer opportunities for service members and veterans across the USA.
Patriots Hockey – (Massachusetts) Offers veterans and troops hockey practices twice a week, 25+ regular season games for the full season teams as well as 2-4 additional tournaments (separate cost).
The Front Country – (Wyoming) Hosts Ski/Snowboard events and programs for veterans. They offer Ski/Snowboard instruction through small (2-5 person) group clinics. All participants have the opportunity to participate in individual wellness coaching sessions with a Licensed Independent Social Worker and yoga classes as well.
VETOGA – (California) Provides yoga, meditation, and healing arts to military, veterans, their families, and communities. We accomplish this by holding free monthly yoga classes, events and veteran specific 200-Hour Teacher Trainings throughout the year.
